Say brother, have you heard about the Big Society?
It'll cure all our troubles at a stroke.
We don't need a cash injection at every hint of insurrection,
and it simply is perfection to ignore such whining folk.
We just tell 'em you can do it, pull your socks up and get to it,
if you ask for cash we blew it and we'll blow it all again
There really is no mystery, it's the greatest game in history, we're winners with the Big Society!

Let the poor help the poor for free.

The losers are all moaning that the welfare state is groaning
and the job losses are growing by the day
We'll tax the banks a quid or two, then slip them monies out of view
and sip champagne while telling all the fools we share their pain
We can tell them human rights are for the immigrants and pikeys and then take away the whole lot in one go
We don't need legal aid, we're safe behind our barricades, we're winners with the Big Society!

If you want to sack a worker then just say the cad's a shirker we won't let the fella argue any more
We'll take away his legal rights, we've slashed the whole lot overnight, now the law will work for us again just like it did before
Now we're sick of paying taxes just to fund such idle slackers so he'll work for us for nothing and be glad
We'll bemoan his bad behaviour and enjoy the new slave labour - we're winners with the Big Society!

The super rich are super - how we love our James and Rupert and we wouldn't want their chums to run away
But the poor just seem to hang about so they can sort this whole mess out - there's no need to be asking brilliant billionaires to pay
Now Corporation tax is low and companies can set up so they're never taxed in Britain anyway
We may be in their pocket but we're not about to knock it - we're winners with the Big Society!
